My name is Štefan, and I have spent many years observing brown bears and exploring the Tatra mountains. Slovak Bears is a place where I share practical knowledge about bears, wildlife safety and responsible observation.
I have spent many years exploring the mountains and challenging terrain of the Tatras, climbing more than 300 peaks, towers, and summits. During this time I have had hundreds of encounters with brown bears and other wildlife.
Brown bears are powerful wild animals. I deeply admire and respect them, and my goal is to help visitors understand their behaviour, habitat and the importance of respectful distance.
